Standards for admission to the Ultra-lightweight Flying Unmanned Multicopter Pilot Fostering Program

  • Age
    Men and women 14 years of age or older
  • Vision
    Vision of at least 0.8 in both eyes and at least 0.5 in each eye (corrected vision)
  • Color vision
    The ability to distinguish red, green, and yellow
  • Hearing
    The ability to hear everyday speech
  • Qualifications
    Holders of a level 2 or higher automotive driver's license issued by the local police commissioner

  • Actual flight
    Twenty hours of actual flight time including takeoff and landing, hovering in place, forward and reverse flight, triangulated flight, remote flight, emergency landings and flight/takeoffs in position modes, and crosswind flight and landing
